Christina Vilaboa-Abel, Esq.
Founding PartnerChristina Vilaboa-Abel is a founding partner of CAVA Law with over a decade of experience in real estate litigation and transactions, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation. She practices in state and federal courts throughout Florida and is admitted to the Florida Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
In addition to her legal practice, Christina serves as a Faculty Fellow at the Honors College of Florida International University, where she teaches undergraduate courses. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctorate from Florida International University.
Christina has received numerous industry distinctions: from 2017 to present day she has been annually recognized as a “Rising Star” by Thompson Reuters, Florida Super Lawyers in the area of Bankruptcy Law; in 2024, the Miami Dade Bar honored her with the “40 under 40 Award,” highlighting her as one of forty esteemed legal professional in Miami-Dade County; in both 2017 and 2019 the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida acknowledged Christina’s community contributions with a “Pro Bono Recognition.”
Additionally, Christina’s industry insights have been sought after by local and national media outlets. She has been featured in U.S. News & World Report, has been invited as a guest expert on Univision’s Reto Economia: La Voz de la Manana; appeared on WLRN’s Ante Usted; and also on AmericaTeve’s A Fondo with Pedro Sevcec. These appearances highlight Christina’s reputation as a trusted authority in her field, seamlessly combining legal expertise with public outreach.
Outside of her professional life, Christina enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughters, indulging in reading, and staying active through Zumba classes.
